Product liability cases involve a product, a wide variety of products. A product is either negligently designed or manufactured and it results in damage to a person.
That product could be a wide variety of things. It could be a tire on a car, it could be a break on a car, it could be a coffee pot, or it could be a piece of farm machinery. The whole idea is that it was designed and/or manufactured in such a fashion that it placed the user in an unreasonable position and cause damage.
Like medical malpractice, you need to be able to retain the right experts, engineers, or architects that specially calls for who can review the product, review the literature and tells you whether or not there was a deviation for proper engineering principles. Fortunately for us, over the years our practice litigated a lot of product cases, medical malpractice cases, and have contact with a number of experts in different fields who can help us evaluate these cases and allow us to know whether the case is worth pursuing. When push comes to shove and we get into the courtroom we feel confident that their expertise can persuade the jury to our client’s position.
