What to Expect at the Emergency Room

Have you been injured and need to go to the ER? Here is what to expect at the emergency room. Give our Buffalo attorneys a call to get started.

Emergency room doctors or immediate care clinics are usually the first doctors we see after an accident.  When an injured individual goes to an emergency room for a back and neck injury, x-rays are taken.

While x-rays are typically taken, it is important to know that x-rays only show whether there is a bone pathology.  X-rays typically come back negative despite the fact that people may be experiencing significant pain. Emergency room doctors will tell individuals to follow up with their primary doctor or chiropractor depending on which part of the body has been injured.

It is highly recommended that injured individuals seek the care of a specialist, because it’s our doctors who are instrumental in determining what the actual diagnosis and final prognosis will be.
